Kailash Satyarthi is an Indian children’s rights activist who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 for his work in advocating for children’s rights and combating child labor. He was born on January 11, 1954, in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, India.

Satyarthi began his activism in the 1980s by establishing Bachpan Bachao Andolan (Save the Childhood Movement), an organization dedicated to rescuing children from bonded labor and advocating for their rights to education and freedom from exploitation. He has been involved in numerous campaigns and initiatives aimed at eliminating child labor globally.

His efforts have led to the rescue and rehabilitation of thousands of children, and he has been instrumental in bringing international attention to the issue of child labor and exploitation. Satyarthi’s work has been recognized worldwide, and he continues to be a prominent voice for children’s rights.

In addition to the Nobel Peace Prize, Kailash Satyarthi has received several other awards and honors for his advocacy work, including the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award, the Wallenberg Medal, and the Aachener International Peace Award. He remains actively involved in campaigning against child labor and promoting education for all children.
